I think it is true that the rate of doctors going to Oz have reduced. I myself was planning to work there and now I am in two minds. Haneef was innocent and he had to be in the prison and the way he was in treated in OZ was very humiliating. Being a Doctor, though I am not a muslim, I feel that some respect should have been given to him by the government as he was serving australians. But, I was shocked to hear in papers about the treatment he was given. Even the government officials were saying offensive things about him clearly evident as if he is being a racist. It was not at all decent. Even in UK, the government started checking all the Indian doctors, it was ridiculous. Many British(white) muslims are terrorists, why arent they in prisons or being checked. I think its a case of white and brown in ausralia and in UK as well.

i would advice all of you not to come as queensland is not a good choice .. a number of reasons.. people are non accomodative . nurses are very rude, supervisors are mad and pay scles are very low .. why do you want such humiliation as it is just an ordinary place ..
if the aussie want help from otds they have to learn how to ask and how to behave ..there own aussie docs know very little only few are good and those who are good dont want to serve there own country and want to go to metropolitan cities.
