I worked in Bundaberg Base Hospital at the time Dr Patel was there. After his disappeareance working conditions in this hospital became quite awkward for overseas trained doctors, especially for those with Indian backgrond. One of my best friend there was a very skilled doctor from India who the people form Bundaberg gave a hard time because of his nationality. This was also one of the reasons I left Australia 3 years ago. I am sorry now to hear about the incident with Dr. Haneef and just recently about the German doctor whose visa was rejected because he has a disabled boy. I think some people downunder do not really get any wiser...
