What a complete load of crap! Lake Superior freezes over completely (at least 95% coverage) on average once every 20 years. But it has frozen over 3 times in the last 15 years, and this year will probably make it 4. 1994, 1996, 2003, and this year (2009) is a safe bet (unless we see a dramatic turn).

I suggest that they rewrite this story using real data, reference the past two years and those noted in the comment below. And, acknowledge their errors in this story.

Yea, I wonder who writes this stuff and based on what data? If they expect people to buy into global warming or climate change stuff, we have to have accurate data and not just guesses or "forcasts"!
