The article on teenage drug addiction has some of the worst grammar and punctuation I've ever seen in a published piece of work.

Whoever wrote this article either did not read the report or is deliberately trying to mislead your readers. Either way it is unnecessary scaremongering.

This is quite ridiculous, firstly millions of people have used cannabis and not all of have ended up heroin addicts. sure people addicted to heroin may have started by using cannabis, these people would be using heroin if cannabis never even existed because they're just that type of person. Anyway those who use cannabis probably started by using tobacco, so doen't that make that the gateway drug?

Your "journalist" has obviously not read the report. It would take a twisted mind to reach the "gateway drug" conclusion on the basis of the experiments.
In fact, the experiments showed greater intelligence in the THC rats. But why not read it for yourself abd find out? Assuming you CAN read, that is.
