My experience is similar. The liver donors do enjoy an excellent quality of life after donation. I specifically remember a young man from Pakistan who became a national level body builder after donating his right lobe to his father. Our study of 200 liver donors revealed a complete recovery of physical and mental health [termed physical and mental composite scores] indices in 3-6 months and 1 month respectively in all donors.
