sorry i cant agree that bariatric surgery is the best and safest.
safest if not best are and remain----the life style modifications +treating the present disease if any.
and Acupuncture helps safely in wt.loss of about 7-10 kg. in 30 sittings.

i hold surgery is a good but last option in morbid obese patients only.
and surgery is never 100% safe and recurrences are v common.
the safest and lasting treatment remains-life style modifications +treating the present disease if any.
