I hope no one paid for this research. The conclusions are erroneous and do not take into account the fact that marijuana stays in one's system for a month, with numerous deleterious effects. There is overwhelming evidence of crimes associated with pot shops, and marijuana plantations that feed them. But of greater concern is the is impact on crime, health, mental illness, education, welfare and traffic safety from hose who smoke it.
81% of arrestees in Sacramento test positive for drugs; people in jail, unable to stand trail because of mental illness, has grown from 19-25% and these people stay in jail for 60 to 90 days because there aren't enough beds in mental facilities; marijuana use by teens is up 80% which contributes to the 24.2% high school drop out rate in California; and almost all of the 3,400 Americans who die monthly of drug overdose started their drug journey with marijuana. Traffic deaths resulting from marijuana impairment has doubled in California.
If the researchers want real research on crimes related to dispensaries, they can send an email to info@drugfreecalifornia.org.
