The absolutel ack of driver education, enforcement of traffic laws and pedestrian safety will continue to plague China and create even more accidents. The Chinese appear to be unconsciously incompetent behind the wheels of anything that is drivable. They do not recognize pedestrian safety as being necessary and the word SAFETY has no place in the driving world of China's driving population. Until the Provincial Police put some bite into their bark and begin writing serious citations for ignorant and careless deriving, nothing will change. Local governments would reap great dividends by simply enforcing traffic laws. Wake up China.
