Whatever he took before returning home should also be blamed for this incident. His brain even malfunctioned by instructing him to consume that amount of water. It's a pity, what happened.

My condolences to the family. However, I disagree with the sweeping statement that "drinking too much water kills". This individual, in my opinion, did take in something toxic, which very thing prompted the thirst, prior to drinking the water.
