The IOM doesn't give people with pain much to hope for as they say its incurable and tell us the prevalence of pain will grow-they say they can help us self manage pain. Lets all be glad the IOM isn't our Generals fighting wars- we'd surrender quickly

The IOM wants to transform pain care-and then they say they want pain managed-thats the same as people in pain get now- THe IOM wants the federal government to look for new treatments for pain-they do that now. They want people in pain to get education on pain-the federal government does that now. The IOM has done something close to nothing in creating their blueprint to transform pain care in America
