In serious kidney disease, kidney function becomes woefully inadequate. In such a situation, it is by the process of "Dialysis" that waste products and excess fluids are removed from the blood. When this occurs using a machine is called hemodialysis, whereas dialysis using the natural filtering membrane of the body called "Peritoneum" is called Peritoneal Dialysis.

Are there medical facilities to do these procedures for people living in small towns of India? How expensive will it be?

yes.. facility is available even in smaller towns in india in private hospitals.. just check out govt. hospitals @ district headquaters as dialysis facility is available in most of them and a bit low priced.. exact charges vary

I'm hooked up every night for nine hours on dialysis. I get 60,000IU of procrit a week. They just put me on steriods 30 mil. a day. I'm still tired, what do I need to do to feel better?
