Gastrointestinal System :
Constipation

Constipation means having hard stools that are difficult to pass. Exercise, a diet with lots of fruits and vegetables, and drinking plenty of water can help constipation. But if you have sudden constipation along with nausea, abdominal pain, and rectal bleeding, you need to see a doctor quickly.

Testosterone and Constipation

I suggest constipation may be caused by low testosterone. My experience is that I started using an herbal to increase my free testosterone; there are signs it is working. (I do not sell nor am I connected in any way to herbal products or other products that advertise that they increase testosterone.) I have been taking metamucil and bran cereals which have helped; my case is not severe. One of the things I noticed is that my bm's have improved significantly. This started me thinking so I did some research: narcotics reduce testosterone and cause constipation; narcotic antagonists increase testosterone and increase bowel function; testosterone declines with age and age and low testosterone reduce bowel function. If this is you, talk to your doctor or pharmacist. If it works for you, tell your friends and, if it works for them, have them share this. (From my understanding of how testosterone affects us, my testosterone has not increased a lot but it has helped with bowel function.)
