Instead of making a vaccine - we should be supporting breastfeeding friendly births, lots of early contact with mom and baby and no formula supplements. Supporting breastfeeding is better than making a vaccine for something our body does naturally!

The point isn't really to make a vaccine to do the same thing as breastfeeding. The point of the study was to understand how these cells migrate, and pregnancy is a great model to study. The implications of our study for vaccine development really are for mucosal diseases (like intestinal bugs), not a replacement for breastfeeding.
