What exactly causes Chikungunya pains?

I had chikungunya about 2 months back and the pains are not getting reduced. I do take lot of fluids, fruits, but don't see any improvement.

Hi Obelix,
one of the main symptoms of chikunguniya is severe joint pain. In certain cases the joint pain persists even after the illness period. Consult your physician and get help for the joint pain. Certain type of exercises can also help you. Your age can also be an important factor if you are in the above 40 bracket the joint pain can be severe. The best recourse will be to take proper medical help.
