I heard about compensation to Danish women who worked nighshift who had breast cancer this evening on the televised news. This is the first I've heard of this, but I would just like to make my comments regarding breast cancer. My mother had breast cancer back in 1985 she is the only one in her family who was diagnosed with cancer(family of 12 siblings). What was special about my mother is she suffered from depression and had been medicated since 1962, she was on various medications (parnate, lithium etc)for 40 years until her death. What you may want to examine about these women is whether they took any kind of medication to keep alert during night shift. I recall friends working night shifts taking what they referred to as uppers (I have no clue what they were) to keep them awake. Could there be a possible link to drugs?
