Gee, My Father had 3 types of cancer, squamous and lymphoma & basal, my brother had Melanoma, My other brother had basal cell cancer. My best friend had Hodgkins Cancer, His Mother had uterine cancer, his Father had bladder cancer, His Mother n Law had colon cancer, my Mother n law Lung Cancer, my husbands best friend had male breast cancer, a high school friend of mine had endometrial cancer, another friend now has thyroid cancer. 2 have Bi Polar Disorder, and 4 have cardiovascular disease. Interesting, I've read many reports, one stated that the closest resident was over 4 miles away. I lived on the Santa susana Pass Road where Box Canyon Road meets. From my estimates and google earth this is less than 2 miles from the field lab.
Our house water came from the well. My Father was the owner of this property. One exception when the 1971 fire occurred, I can remember the intensity involved when the Fire Department told us to evacuate the premises, not to mention the hysteria from the people in the foothills evacuating their homes. Was there something more to fear than fire?
