I have found this article extremely useful. My brother has just been diagnosed with a tumour on the lung, and surgery is within the next few days. I have informed him about this and have asked that he speak with the surgeon regarding his options. The infected lung also has cysts and has a 50% function rate at the moment. It would seem that this would be the best option for him.
