Alcohol abuse, as described in the DSM-IV, is a psychiatric diagnosis describing the use of alcoholic beverages despite negative consequences. Alcohol abuse is sometimes referred to by the less specific term alcoholism.

stop drinking

Please stop drinking. Do you know that regular use of alcohol can lead to cirrhosis of the liver that is actually an end stage disease. Once this stage is reached there is no looking back and the liver can be saved only by transplantation. Even if you stop drinking after cirrhosis develops the condition will not be reversible because the liver cells would have shrunk  and died
