Alcohol abuse, as described in the DSM-IV, is a psychiatric diagnosis describing the use of alcoholic beverages despite negative consequences. Alcohol abuse is sometimes referred to by the less specific term alcoholism.

Get rid of alcohol addiction bymeditation
Cparkinson 1 Post hello all, I agree that the mind over matter type of state you can reach in meditation is a big help for addictions. I think you also need to get out and walk, when the urge strikes to drink or smoke. It may also help to avoid the normal places that you like to go which remind you of your bad habit.

Alcoholism is a term with multiple and sometimes conflicting definitions. While the ingestion of alcohol is, by definition, necessary to develop alcoholism, the use of alcohol does not predict the development of alcoholism. The quantity, frequency and regularity of alcohol consumption required to develop alcoholism varies greatly from person to person.

Hi,this is Alora.

I am here to tell you the ill-effects of alcohol.People facing many problems concume alcohol. However alcohol can poison body parts and you need not be surprised that they will die soon. Drug addiction is also another dangerous problem.

I agree that alcohol addiction can lead you to no good. But I still go for in for occasional and moderated drinking.
