Acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS), caused by the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), is a disease which destroys the immune system and makes the affected person vulnerable to opportunistic infections and tumors. There is no cure for AIDS, but modern multi-drug therapies have been successful in helping people with AIDS manage the disease.

Right, and the UAE's Ministry of Health is to be believed! They would not release a statement that said AIDS was on the rise in UAE; or they would have internal problems through the local authorities. Try to take all of this with a grain of salt unless the statistics are performed by an independent external body.

Its true that AIDS is not of an issue in the UAE thanks to our religion, if its on a rise then it would be because of the increased number of foreigners in our country.
