I never got the answer that i was looking for ??? So if I had diabetes would it be safe for me to drink tequila? I have been told that since it was not made from sugar it will not turn to sugar?

Is this true? I am been asking this for my friend, so please tell me so that I can tell her. We want to know all about tequila and not about the nectar which I keep finding information about. So kindly enlighten me about tequila.
