Title : Donate a embriodery machine to poor adolescent girl
Description : Case study of Ms.Y.Madhavi:
Here is a sad story of a 14 year old girl of Tribal Community, who shoulders the family responsibility. Her mother Shobha Rani died in the year 2008, leaving her 2 children. Her father Mr.Maddileti works as hamali worker. He is a drunken and not taking care of their children. Her younger brother Mr.Madhu of age 9 years discontinued 5th class due to poverty and their irresponsible father. She used to feed her younger brother by begging. Some times their grand parents help them in providing food. They are living in a shed of skin business. Her brother works in a chappal shop and she works in the agriculture fields. The amount is barely sufficient to make both ends meet. As the family ran into financial crisis, she began to lose hope on life. One day, she happened to meet SERUDS volunteer who helped her learn tailoring work on free of cost.
SERUDS provided her an opportunity to develop her skills in their tailoring center organized at Nannur village. She was provided a USHA sewing machine by SERUDS with support from GIVE INDIA. Now she is undergoing 6 months training in tailoring & embroidery. She got confidence to live on her own legs with this training programme. She is looking for financial support for purchase of embroidery machine and tools costing @Rs.8000/-.
SERUDS appeal the philanthropists to support her genuine cause and provide her a embroidery machine & tools.
