Description : Ms.Noorjahan aged 30 years is the only daughter of Mr.Gounda Sulthanmiah of Nannur village of Orvakal mandal of Kurnool district. A.P. She has 2 married brothers and her sister-in-laws have been harassing her and not even providing sufficient food. She and her mother are living at the courtesy of their brothers and sister-in-laws. Being a Muslim lady and poverty, she has not educated and even not allowed to go out. She has studied Arabic at home and she has no work to do. She is not married still now due to poverty and careless of her brothers. SERUDS provided her an opportunity to develop her skills in their tailoring center organized at Nannur village. She was provided a USHA sewing machine by SERUDS with support from GIVE INDIA. Now she is undergoing 6 months training in tailoring & embroidery. She got confidence to live on her own legs with this training programme. She already started to stitch jackets, petty coats; saree falls etc. and earning for her food. She is looking for financial support for purchase of embriodery machine and tools costing @Rs.8000/- to expand her self-employment unit. She desire to live in a dignified manner along with her mother.
