The main problem while watching the monitor is we forget to blink often. So make a concious effort to do so. Take short breaks and close your eyes. while you are waiting for the screen to move or for a website to appear temporarily close your eyes to give rest. Youcan do eye exercises on a regular basis to relieve eye pain. For this move your eyes to the exterme right and hold it for one minute, repeat the same moving them to the left, up and down.Do this on a regular basis. You can carry refreshing tissues with you like fresh ones and wipe you eyes constantly, as this will prove to be refreshing.
