An ideal approach would be to first determine the cause for your headache. You can try to analyse the following factors:
1. Hypoglycemia can precipitate headaches so ensure that you take your meals regularly.
2. Is your sleep adequate in terms of quantity( no. of hours) and quality ( type of sleep ). Maintain regular sleep schedules.
3. Some medical problems like diabetes and hypertension can cause headaches.
4. Any vision defects or ENT problems can cause headaches.
5. Excessive stress can precipitate headaches. You can combat stress by relaxation techniques. I know it is easier said than done, but remember that it is not stress that kills us but rather our reaction to it.
Now to answer your question it is not harmful to take disprin occasionally but ensure that you do not take it on an empty stomach. In fact disprin has been recommended on a regular basis for all those above the age of 45 to prevent heart attacks. So you can use disprin occasionally if it is providing good relief for your headaches.
