Almost everyone goes through these phases at sometime in their lives. You just need to prioritize your thoughts to set your goals right. For this sit in a quiet place and count your blessings before you analyze your shortcomings. I known it is easier said than done but all said and done man is a superior human being and can keep his thoughts and frustrations under control. So take things under your control and don’t let them control you.
Smoking is a definite health hazard and your choice to quit is a right decision. Though it may be tough to quit in the beginning, once you tide over the initial phase it will be a smooth run. I could offer you a few suggestions:
1.Set a definite date to quit and don’t give in to temptation at all costs
2.Tell your family, friends, and co-workers that you are going to quit and want their support. Ask them not to smoke around you or leave cigarettes out.
3. Try to distract yourself from urges to smoke. Talk to someone, go for a walk, or get busy with a task.
4.Do something to reduce your stress. Take a hot bath, exercise, or read a book.
5.Plan something enjoyable to do every day.
6.Drink a lot of water and other fluids.
7.Certain medications can help you stop smoking and lessen the urge to smoke like for e.g. Nicotine gum, which is Available over-the-counter. So try to substitute this.
Hope this helps.
Quitting may not be easy, but be persistent.
Your frustrations can overpower you and affect your productivity so define your problems and sort them out for it is said that A problem well defined is half solved.
