I have already consulted dermatologist. But still I wanted to know the cause and cure for this fungal infection
A: Tinea is a fungal infection of the skin, hair or nails. It is otherwise reffered to as ringworm infection. Fungus is a micro-organism that can dwell harmlessly on the surface of the skin until conditions become permissive to infection. But fungal infection is quiet common and can be tackled adequately with local application of antifungal ointments. The precautions you will have to adhere to are:
1. Religious application of antifungal oientments.
2. Avoiding moist areas to develop over the skin as this can promote the infection.
3. Avoid sharing personal usage items like combs, razors etc. as this can spread infection.
4. Always wear cotton garments to facilitate good ventilation.
5. Ensure that all the garments are washed well before usage.
