Hi, The act does not have the prohibition on the 'mode and place of business'. It regulates the Pharmacist and not the pharmacy.A "registered pharmacist” means a person whose name is for the time being entered in the register of the State in which he is for the time being residing or carrying on his profession or business of pharmacy"When a pharmacist gets himself registered he would disclose his place of residence OR place of running the business. Hence, if he is registered with his residence then in my opinion there is no prohibition on carrying out a business online in India. Please note that if the online business has inter-state implications - the pharmacist will have to be a registered pharmacist in all the states of business. Thanks, Rimali Batra(Medico-Legal)
