Hi,
In order to control the blood pressure your husband should:
- limit his sodium intake by cutting down on table salt, processed food, junk food, chips, pickles, papad, chutney etc
- Drink green tea or herbal tea instead of regular tea or coffee
- Eat fruits & vegetables like bananas, potatoes, oranges, tomatoes, peas that are rich in potassium
- Ask your husband to do some form of exercise daily which includes
Meditation & Yoga as it helps in relieving stress
For pain in his legs I would suggest him to:
- have a glass of lukewarm water with a pinch of cinnamon powder daily first thing in the morning
-eat calcium rich foods like milk and milk products, soyabeans, green leafy
vegetables, nuts like almonds, walnuts etc
-have a bath in lukewarm water with some epsom (magnesium rich) salt added to it or he can also massage gently with hot water pads on the affected areas
- Drink enough water and wear comfortable footwear to work
Your husband shoud avoid smoking, alcohol, excess salt and sugar.
I have given these suggestions assuming he has no other medical problems. Let me know if you want any further information.
Thanks,
Nimisha
