Idiopathic hypersomnia. This is an unusual diagnosis. It tells me that you have a need to sleep for longer hours, on most days of the week. Is this correct?
You mention that you have consulted several doctors. It would be useful to know what advice you have tried and for how long.
You may benefit from a full assessment by a psychiatrist and look initialyat ways of managing your life despite the hypersomnia; and later at trying to cut down on the number of hours of sleep required.
Lastly, if the medicine you are taking is apparently not of any benefit, then why take it at all?
