Pregnancy in general is not covered under Individual Health Insurance Schemes.
Many a times, employers do provide medical insurance covers to their employees. If you are an employee, first have a detailed discussion with your HR/Manager - Operations, who can give a clear picture, whether dependants are included under the medical cover or not.
Secondly, you need to check whether your employer is providing any coverage for pregnancy and whether there is any waiting period.
There are certain private insurance companies, which I cannot say for certain (just heard that Iffco-Tokio General Insurance provides a cover for maternity). Just check it out with the insurance agent for updated information. Such insurance companies provide medical cover for pregnancy/maternity - with a minimum 9 months waiting period.
