Diet during cancer treatment is very important.This must be individualized to address personal and symptom-related needs of the individual patient.
Choose a variety of foods from each food group. Try to eat at least five servings a day of fruits and vegetables, including citrus fruits and or juices and dark-green and yellow vegetables.
Eat plenty of high-fiber foods, such as whole grain breads and cereals.
Avoid salt-cured, smoked, and pickled foods.
Decrease the amount of fat in your meals.
Choose low-fat milk and dairy products.
Avoid alcohol
