Hi, sorry for the cxonflicting advice from pediatricians. let me help, actually the second one was right because in breast milk, the first 3-4 minutes ,the milk which comes from breast is more water than milk which is for the thirst of the baby, the later part is more proteins and fat for weight gain and hunger.So there is no need for water till 5 months . The problem is if you fill the stomach with water then your baby may not drink enough milk and might slow the weight gain.water is advised only if problems like constipation exists.so take care and have anice time with your baby.hope i could be of some help to you
