You should call the ambulance immediately to ensure that help is on the way. Do not to move the patient (unless there is a fire or any other situation that could lead to his death) since it could worsen his injury. Ensure that his airway is intact and there is nothing choking it. If you are trained in administering CPR, you could do so. If he is bleeding too much, you could apply pressure over the wound taking adequate precautions yourself (using gloves if possible). Try to calm the patient by talking to him if he is conscious.
