Are UK Nurses Are Safer & Better Than Indian Doctors?

It is true; doctors who want to work in the NHS in UK have to pass an examination called PLAB to prove that you are a "Safe Doctor"

If you are a nurse, then all that you need to do is to get a job here (there are plenty now because British nurses are working as doctors) and then undergo training for 6 weeks and get a certificate to say you are a nurse practitioner and then start working as a doctor in the hospital or as a GP.

This is un-ethical medical practice and so the GMC has asked "How nurses can be allowed to examine, diagnose and prescribe medication without proper medical training? Why is it necessary for doctors out of medical schools in India to pass PLAB to prove they are safe doctors but a nurse trained in UK does not? Is this not what we call discrimination?" But there is no reply to it.

I feel sad to everyday see patients life at risk in the hospitals and the community but feeling helpless as no one can stop this practice.

I have and will continue to fight back, and have now developed a method to help people to get proper medical advice. "MAYA”; Medical Advice You Access is a new concept and way to providing health care to people from all over the world….

actually you can chose NOT to work for unethical people and for those systems that support them.if the mad rush to these countries stop, nurses in those countries will once again come back to being nurses and stop playing doctors. the rush for pounds and euros provides them with the impetus to do as they please!!

You are right, but we must also blame hospitals and institutions based in India, who advertise young girls to chase the Euros. The advert does not say those qualifying as nurses in India are made to work as slaves and treated badly.

It looks as if only British qualified nurses are made to work as doctors. I think I am the only one doctor in Briton who will not encourage this unethical practice and treat my country men and women with dis-respect...
