Gallstones

Gallstones are formed in the gall bladder when the cholesterol or the bilirubin in bile (which is stored in the gall bladder) harden into stone-like crystals. When the stones reach become bigger than about 8 mm, the person will often have intense pain in the stomach and jaundice. The condition is life-threatening if it is not treated.

non surgical removal

My aunty had the problem of indigestion for the several months. She is around fifty years old. She underwent ultrasound scan and found that gallstones was present in her gall bladder. The doctors advised her to undergo laproscopic procedure for the removal of stones. Is there any non surgical removal method?

The only best treatment for gallbladder stones is removal of gallbladder (cholecystectomy ). It can be removed by the conventional open method, by laproscope or SILS.
