Dialysis / Haemodialysis / Continuous Ambulatory Peritoneal Dialysis

In serious kidney disease, kidney function becomes woefully inadequate. In such a situation, it is by the process of "Dialysis" that waste products and excess fluids are removed from the blood. When this occurs using a machine is called hemodialysis, whereas dialysis using the natural filtering membrane of the body called "Peritoneum" is called Peritoneal Dialysis.

dialysis centers

Are there any dialysis centers in Chennai ? how much do they charge per session of dialysis? I heard that dialysis is performed in government centers. Do they do the dialysis free of charge or do they charge some nominal amount?
