Diabetic Retinopathy

Diabetic retinopathy happens when chronically high blood glucose levels in diabetic persons damage to the retina by causing swelling, leakage, and abnormal new blood vessels in the retina. Diabetic retinopathy can lead to blindness.

Eye diseases in diabetics

Its a sad thing that in our country the leading preventable cause of blindness among adults is DIABETIC RETINOPATHY!!! Also other diseases such as Catarct, Glaucoma, etc are common in diabetics. Control diabetes...save your eyes.
