is it conjunctivitis?

I was having severe cough for the past 3 months . Suddenly for the past one week I have been having red eyes. My eyes do not water nor do I have any itchy feeling in my eyes. I am not able to see bright light and not able to go out in the sun. My eyes automatically closes. The redness in the white of the eye has not decreased. Is this conjunctivitis and will this spread to anyone else.
