Asked on : 20 Sep 2010

My baby girl is now three months old. Is it ok to provide about 20 ml plain water daily? I currently provide breast milk and top feed (Lactogen) as I do not have sufficient breast milk. My paediatrician has advised me to start providing about 20 ml plain water daily and then slowly increase it to 100 ml.

Another paediatrician told me not to provide water at all during the first six months. With so much conflicting advice, I'm really puzzled. Please could you let me know whether plain water should be provided to my baby, how often it should be provided and when it should be provided?

I am a 39 year old male in India. A day back, I decided to opt for a full body massage from a male. I also had a big pimple burst on my back a day back and it was not completely healed. He massaged my back and then during the massage, the massuer licked my anus deeply with his tongue going in and also inserted his finger. I sucked his testicles and then after he also put on a condom I sucked him for a couple of minutes, though he did not ejaculate. He then proceed to suck my penis, after I put on a condom and finished with me ejaculating in his mouth.

I am now very worried about hiv transmission due to the analingus and on asking the masseur, he was not ready to comment on his hiv status. He only said that he frequently provides sexual services to his clients. I am very worried now. Am I at a risk of hiv transmission?

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am now aged 60 yrs, a Prof (Retired) and a diabetic patient too. Now I use Madhuramratham (15 mL) with a glass of water in the morning and Nishakathakathy Kazhayam (20 mL) with two Chandraprabha Tabs and 80 mL of water at bed time. In addition to this I use Nellika with Pacha Manjal in the early moring (around 3 am) making it a paste in a mixer grinder, on empty stomache . Now the sugarlevels are : FBS - 122 mg & PPBS - 146 mg. I used the Dathpushty Tablets and I found it to be very much active as regards to the sexual feelings and activities. But I had to discontinue these Dhathupushty tablets for fear of an increse in the sugar levels before. The present condition is that I do not get usual erection and I fear I may lose sexual life. Hence I request you to advise me in this matter and a reply to this mail at the earliest.
