I am 42. My lipid profile is : Total Cholestrol 220 mg/dl, Triglecerides 119, HDL 30, LDL 166.2, VLDL- 23.8. I regularly excercise which includes around 20 minutes jogging. I do not eat meat. Should I start medication. Are cholestrol- medicines are for life time use? Should I avoid biscuts?

Hi, Recently my son who just turned 10 last month was diagnosed with Ambylopia of his right eye.He has 20/400 as his vision with -11 as his power.We have started patching of his good eye, and putting corrective lense and making the activities and some eye exercises.Few of my concerns are 1) Are we too late since he turned 10 2) How long should Occlusion or patching should be done for him.We usually do 2 - 3 hrs of aggressive Patching once he comes back from school.He doesnt wear glasses o school as his normal - left eye has 20/20 vision.Due to the huge disparity between the two eyes and it's vision, glasses were not advised. 3) Are there any specific exercises, to remove the lazy eye, or any vision therapy centers in India? My wife has quite sever thallasemia - her hemoglobin level when it was last tested was only 7.1. She gets dizzy quite often and also has a shortage of breath quite regularly.
Sopme doctors tell her that the only thing she can do is eat healthily and get plenty of rest. The most recent doctor told her she might start needing blood transfusions - and this was very distressing. What practical steps can be taken to make her feel better - in terms of diet, lifestyle, treatment etc? Also at what hemoglobin levels is it absolutely necessary to start getting bood transfusions?

I got married in 2001.It was an arranged marriage.i was working before my marriage and was withdrawing very good salary.After 2 months or so of marriage he started beating me. I used to inform his mother but got just one answer ‘adjust’.She used to associate this with his astrology problem.Now I have two kids. Still he beats me sometime or the other.Now his mother has expired. My father-in-law is there. All his family members are very rich and educated. But no-body opens their mouth to talk to him on this topic. My husband is doing a business.He loves me, even I love him very much. He is doing his duties towards me and kids. Everything is there. He just gets angry for silly things and starts raising his hands on me.He is an educated person and carries a good image outside. I don’t know how to tackle this probleml.He is not ready to send me for a job.I am in my 40’s now.I feel giving him a back answer would only lead to worsening of the situation.So I just keep quiet and cry alone. Please advice me how to handle him in such situation.

my daughter eyes are infected since she's born. I went to eye specialist
and he told me that her ducts are blocked.Now im worried about her because since 2 weeks her one eye is infected a lot and tears come out.I also used lots of different antibiotic drops such as vegamox and oxcin.it get well but after some time the infection comes back.Now plz tell me what to do? she is 8 month old.

My teeth used to be white and in normal colour 2 yrs back. now a days they are turning yelow, no pain , no smell.I clean my teeth properly and brush twice a day.Please let me know what i need to do to have healthy and white teeth.
