About 10 years ago, I was also facing male pattern baldness.  The doctor prescribed some hair solutions that held the loss at bay, however, she gave me finesteride which worked wonders because it not only stopped the hair loss, but grew lost hair back.  This only works for hair loss occurring around the crown of the head and not the front.  In any event, the drug has saved my hair.   People often confuse me of being my 20 year old daughter's brother.

There is a very slight diminishing of sex drive, but I had too much to begin with.

Perhaps you could use Viagra?  But seriously,  I believe there is only such a problem in 2% of finesteride users.

Scalp surgery is butchery and can leave your scalp looking like a chess board.

Hair transplant is only temporary.  Ayurvedic medicine is good when you want a nice cup of tea.

Otherwise, nothing effective seems to be on the market.
