Many complications are possible during pregnancy. Sometimes the embryo begins to develop outside the uterus, or it’s exposed to substances that cause birth defects. Or the mother develops diabetes or high blood pressure. Every pregnant woman should be under the care of a competent doctor to avoid complications and so she and her baby stay healthy.
