Neonatal Jaundice / Jaundice in NewBorn

Neonatal jaundice is yellowing of the skin of newborns caused by excess bilirubin in the blood. It is a common condition, affecting up to half of full-term babies and more than 80% of premature babies. Phototherapy – exposure to certain kinds of light – is usually effective therapy for the condition.
