Certainly the hospital was right to remove the 300 lb. nurse. The protection of the patient must be tantamount. In another incident in Quebec, a coroner released a report of a catastrophic bus accident last February. 40 children could have died when a bus rolled on a ski trip up north. The bus driver, who died, weighed 500lbs. He had a previous heart attack, 80% clogged arteries, severe diabetes and cirroses of the liver.

Obesity is a disease in itself and is being discussed like it is something that people choose. What about the thin surgeon that sleeps in his clothes and bathes once a week? Would he be fired? I doubt it...how humiliating for this nurse and how shallow coming from people that are in the business of caring for people
