Glaucoma is a kind of eye problem in which high fluid pressure inside the eye damages the optic nerve, leading eventually to blindness. One of the first signs of glaucoma is loss of peripheral vision. People with diabetes and high blood pressure should check their eyes regularly for vision loss from glaucoma.

You can visit an Opthalmologist.

2. What would happen if the glaucoma is not treated?

If glaucoma is not treated the eye would go blind and often become painful as well.

3. Can a person do Yoga exercises if he has glaucoma?

Regular yoga can be done except for exercises involving the head being lower than the body for an appreciable time as it tends to increase intraocular pressure.

4. What can you do to protect your vision?

If you are being treated for glaucoma, be sure to take your glaucoma medicine every day and see your eye care professional regularly.
