I recently had a ureteroscopy to remove a 6mm stone lodged just above my bladder. It was a truly horrific experience from beginning to end, and I had 4 kids! I don't think I could have made it through without some strong pain medicine. It has been 3 days since removal of the stint. I still feel a burning sensation during the final seconds of urinating. I don't know if this is "normal" and was hopingto find an answer here.

I just had the same procedure and my burning is pretty severe at the end of urination. And I still go about 5 times an hour, but just a little bit. From my research, that's pretty normal. I think if it's horrific, though, you should contact your urologist. You shouldn't be back to normal yet, but you certainly shouldn't be in a huge amount of pain. There could be a rupture in your urethra or something that required immediate attention.

I think It can be removed without surgery. May be possible with Shock wave treatment. Contact a good urologist immediately. Its not a great deal if you contact on time and its painless as well.

I am not a urologist, but I would say that a stone in such size needs surgery. I doubt it will go out itself...
