Hi, My friend was suffering from neurocisticercosis. He had fit in 1999 and took a lot of medicines for neurocisticercosis. He is OK now, but he still takes Tegretol 200 twice a day. It has been long time and I don't understand if he really requires to have it after 10 years. I told him to consult doctor again and ask for a decrease of dosage. However his doctor asked him not to do so. I am really worried that he is addicted to this medicine. Can you please suggest what is to be done now.

Yes fits are curable. I am one of the patient. It started when I was in Final year graduation. We need to take the medicine without fail [doctor prescribe it according to our body weight], Sleep for 8hrs daily and Try to be away for tensions.
