You can use a simple spray that is both antibacterial and antifungal to bring the level of microbes in your sinuses back under control. I have seen this done sucessfully for about 10 years and even was involved in a clinical study to show the efficacy. This is much less traumatic than surgery, costs less and has worked in cases where surgery failed. The protocol is a bit arduous in that you have to spray this stuff in your nose every 20 to 30 minutes, but the cost is usually around $30 to treat a chronic infection and it takes only about 2 weeks so it's worth it. If you wanted to try this before surgery (or your next bout of antibiotic) I would suggest that you take a look at this web site.
