Meditation is an unfortunate word, loaded with a lot of misunderstanting. Concentration on anything will never cut off anxiety. What's important is being UNFOCUSED - perceiving everything percepitible at the same time, without effort. It's the most important thing to do this moment after moment, in a serious, constant manner. Please, try this and see what happens.
